Meet Ruby!

Ruby is a 2003 model Appendix mare. She is a Granddaughter of AQHA Hall-of-Famer Zips Chocolate Chip as well as hot shot race horse Money Lender. Ruby is one of our foundation Mares, and welcomed her first Rolling Brass Ranch foal in May of 2023!

Ruby is FAST when she hauls tail across the pasture! We have started referring to her as “Puddle Biscuit”. Why do we call her Puddle Biscuit? Glad you asked! She has Seabiscuit in her pedigree, but if you asked her if she enjoys running… that’s gonna be a hard “no”. The quickest way to irritate Ruby is to touch her face, which is a shame because she has such a pretty little head! Her best friend is "Sadie", our other foundation mare.

Ruby has been on the RCSO Mounted Patrol and Search and Rescue Team since 2021.
